Major Maintenance at the Kathan Cemetery

Don and Sue Kathan and their two sons returned to the Kathan Cemetery in Putney this month, and did some solid maintenance work!

Don, Sue, Donald, and Gary spent September 23 and 24 working at the Kathan Cemetery in Putney, Vermont, the resting place of Lieutenant Colonel Charles Kathan (1743–1793) and Captain John Kathan (1706–1787). I’m personally very grateful; Charles is my fifth great grandfather, and John is my sixth.

Over the course of the two days, they cleared brush and removed ten or twelve trees.

Thank you, cousins, for doing this wonderful work to honor and preserve the memory of our Kathan forebears.
